Teaching Evaluations
May. 2, 2007 by elabriola
Students should expect to receive teaching evaluations in class during the next week. Classes will end on Tuesday, May 8.
Evaluations give the instructor direct feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the course and its organization, offer student perspective on the quality and effectiveness of the teaching in the course, and provide valuable information that will be used in the evaluation of the faculty member’s teaching. Students are asked to keep these objectives in mind as they write their responses.
A student in each class will be designated to collect and return the forms, in their original envelope, to the Registrar’s Office. The designated student should seal the envelope, print his/her name on the front, and sign the back. Teaching evaluations should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office no later than 5:00 pm on May 18, 2007.
This semester some courses are participating in an online teaching evaluation pilot. Students were notified if their course was included in the pilot. Check here to see if any of your teaching evaluations are online: quicklink.wesleyan.edu/teacheval
